YOUR HOME IS YOUR CASTLE...OR IS IT?

Your Property: Are you really safe once you get home and lock your door?  In a free society your home should be the sanctuary for you and your family.  Your home is the only environment where you have control over who can get close to you and your family.  Protecting your home and family from criminal intrusion should be high on your list of priorities.

By far, the most common threat to your home is a burglary. According to the FBI, a burglary occurs somewhere in the United States every 15.4 seconds.  Burglary, by definition, is a non-confrontational crime but being victimized can leave a family filling vulnerable and violated.  To prevent a burglary, it is important to first gain an understanding of who commits them and why.  The majority of home an apartment burglaries occur during the daytime when most people are away at work or at school and during the summer months of July and August.  Burglars take things that are small, expensive, and that can be easily converted into cash.  Items like cash, jewelry, guns, watches, personal computers; VCR's, video players, CD's and other small electronic devices are high on the list. Quick cash is needed for living expenses and drugs.

Statistics tell us that 70% of burglars use force to enter a dwelling.  Police only clear about 13% of all reported burglaries and rarely catch the thief in the act.

The first step is to "Harden The Target" or make your home more difficult to enter.  Burglars will simply bypass homes that are protected by trained dogs that interrupt their activities by barking and showing aggression.

Your Family: Your family is at the center of your universe.  most people would do almost anything for the sake of their family, which includes protecting them from known dangers and harm.  This has become increasingly difficult, because we live in a free society where we share the same public places as the violent criminals.  We strive to increase family safety when they leave the security of home and once outside.

Whenever your family walks the front door they leave that zone of protection that you have created.  the answer to keeping your family safe once they leave home is to possess a professionally trained protection dog.

Shopping Centers: Shopping centers come in all sizes from the giant regional malls to the small strip center with only a few stores.  What they have in common is a parking lot.  This is where your family is at greatest risk because of the "Nature" of the parking lot.  Violent criminals can blend in with the rest of us and get in close proximity fairly easily.  Criminal predators can walk right by us and we will allow it because of the public setting.  Next time you go to a shopping center sit in the parking lot for a minute and observe how easy it would be for a criminal predator to approach and attack you or your family.  Shoppers walk to and from their cars totally consumed by their thoughts and thinking about what they are going to do next.  Watch shoppers as they approach their cars fumbling for their keys.  they will turn their backs and attention completely away from those nearby to load their shopping bags into the car, and get children and infants inside the vehicle.  Most shopping center violent crimes occur precisely at this point.  The most common crimes are purse-snatch and strong-armed robbery.  Less common but potentially more serious are the crimes of carjacking and abduction.

To protect your family in this setting the best defense is a professionally trained protection dog.  The awareness of a trained protection dog will alert you of the potential danger that maybe around you as you conduct normal activities.

ATM Cash Machines: ATM cash machines have been incorporated into our way of life.  They offer a real convenience to those on the run but at the same time offer an element of risk.  Just because an ATM machine is open and available 24 hours a day doesn't mean it is safe to use it.  Most ATM robberies occur at night between 8 O'clock and midnight.  ATM robbers usually position themselves nearby waiting for a victim to approach and withdraw cash.  Most ATM robbery victims are woman and were alone when robbed.  Most claim that they never saw the robber coming.  Fully trained protection dogs are alert and aware of their surroundings at all times.  robbers will simply wait and choose an easier target.

Parking Lots: Parking lots come in all shapes and sizes from the giant high rise to the multi-level structures and flat lots of a small retail center with only a few stores.  While parking lots provide a great service by allowing us access to retail and office centers, they sometimes create a substantial risk.

As you can imagine, late at night some parking lots can become remote with no available witnesses to watch over the area.  The most common property crime in a parking lot is theft.  Where else can you find such a selection of automobiles left unattended--It's a thieves dream.  The most frequent crimes are auto vandalism and auto burglaries.  Thieves think nothing about smashing out your car window to steal a stereo, a portable telephone, or some item left on the seat.  What they need is a little time and no witnesses.  That is unless your vehicle is guarded by a trained dog.

Our realistic training scenarios are designed to prepare you for real-life encounters.  We place you in realistic encounters using the above situations.  We will teach you how to respond when your dog is called into action either from the immediate presents of danger or if you have initiated the response of your dog.

Questions about our Trained Protection Dogs

IS A PROTECTION DOG TRAINED TO HAVE A RAMBO TYPE MENTALITY, A DOG ALWAYS SUSPICIOUS OF EVERYONE BECOMING A POSSIBLE THREAT?  No.  While that type of dog is needed for Police Work, Military, or someone in very specific high-risk environments (diamond dealers, etc.), Most of our dogs are quite the opposite.

Most of our dogs have the same friendly personality, and offer the same companionship, as a Labrador Retriever.  However, when working with the dogs natural abilities in protection, we provide the specific skills and mental conditioning needed if you are to ever rely upon your dog.

WILL MY PROTECTION TRAINED DOG BE SAFE WITH MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS?  Yes, but within reason.  Dogs are not computers trained to know when you and your friends are horse playing, or when your teenager and their friends are in the backyard reenacting last nights version of wrestle mania.  Owning a dog trained to protect you at all cost is a very big responsibility, one that not all individuals are responsible enough to be entrusted with.

WHO WILL YOU NOT SALE YOUR TRAINED DOGS TO?  We do not sale dogs to persons with criminal records such as:  Any assault Charges, Domestic Violence Charges, Drug Charges, any Felony, etc..

WHAT BREEDS DO YOU TRAIN FOR PERSONAL PROTECTION?  We train the following breeds as protector dogs:

German Shepherd Dog

Belgian Malinois

Dutch Shepherd

Doberman

Rottweiler

I hope some of these questions have been helpful to you in your decision to purchase a trained protection dog.  Since the purchase of a personal protection dog is more involved than afforded by the few questions listed here, we encourage you to contact us with additional questions about our trained dogs. We can custom tailor a K-9 that will be an exact match for you and your situation.
